Pyrometer
Description
Pyrometer, device for measuring relatively high temperatures, such as are encountered in furnaces. Most pyrometers work by measuring radiation from the body whose temperature is to be measured. The instrument converts the change in electrical resistance caused by heat to a reading of the temperature of the object.
